“Arsene’s masterpiece” is an Escape Kit dedicated to teens and adults. If the players have been on a puzzle for a while, select one of the clues under a picture. The first one is quite subtle, the last one is the complete solution.

Story & mission

After several years of defying the police, the most brilliant of all burglars, Arsène Lupin, decides to put an end to his “remarkable career”. To do so, he wants to surprise the police one last time with his ultimate “masterpiece”.

You are a member of the police squad, and you have received a letter from him. He claims to be in possession of an original painting, the most sought-after in the world and missing for decades : “Poppy Flowers” by Van Gogh.

You have one hour to find the place where the painting is hidden by following the trail game orchestrated by Lupin.
If you manage to solve the riddles, you will find the place where he has hidden the painting. If not, he will disappear with it… Hurry to his apartment !

How to solve the puzzles?

To begin, you must decipher the clues that Lupin has left for you in his Parisian hideout. These clues will allow you to find the pieces of a map in order to reconstruct it and discover the location of the hidden painting.

If you are stuck, click on the clues corresponding to one of the puzzles below. The clues are revealed in ascending order, from the most subtle to the answer. (To add spice to the game, take 2 minutes off the clock for each clue taken).

Color the numbers, they will show you a hiding place.
If you color the numbers: 13, 9, 18 and 7, the solution is BOOK.

Trace each of Lupin’s days.
It seems that by tracing each day we get a letter.

To decipher the message, Lupin has noted symbols that will help you.
Look closely at Lupin’s diary.
The symbols are related to the keyboard.
Behind each symbol is a letter.
The 3 lines of symbols represent the last 3 lines of the keyboard.
The first symbol represents a “Q” and the last one a “+”. Now it’s up to you to decipher the other symbols.
The solution is “NEXT CLUE IN THE FRIDGE”.

To solve this puzzle, you will need 2 elements.
After finding the two elements, overlap the blinds and black spots. A word will appear.
